Like they were crying fighting one sentence then two sentences later they were fine then one sentence later they were not again. Not just once not just twice not just three times, there were more times than I could count that Kenna was getting along with Ledger, he said something to make her cry, She got out of his car in a huff, he would say sorry, then by the time she got to her apartment they were fighting again, then the same night he would come back to say sorry. I like stories where the characters aren't afraid to have arguments and its not all instalove but the back and forth felt Wattpad-esque. Like this story could be told better without one. I almost felt like Ledger was not meant to be a love interest. I fell more in love with Scotty and Kenna than Kenna and Ledger and Scotty/Kenna were only mentioned briefly. For Kenna she was away for so long it felt like she was attaching herself to the first guy that supported her.
It felt like He liked her because attraction and she was Diem's Mom it felt like the love he had for Diem transferred to Kenna. Ledger never asked Kenna about anything not regarding Diem/Scotty once he found out who she was which made their love not believable. I get Kenna's entire personality being about her tragedy because she was in jail for 5 years due to it and doesn't even know what her daughter looks like/never got to hold her.īut Ledger's WHOLE personality was being the middleman for Scotty's parents/Diem and Kenna once he found out who she was which was way too early into the story in my opinion. I feel like the book went downhill when Ledger found out who Kenna was.
The way I thought this story would go was that she would be a regular there and go there after work because she had nowhere else to go and them developing something from there. Ledger being immediately interested in this girl. I really liked the first part of the story.
